On April 11th, the Maine Bankers Association will be hosting the Bank Expo 2018 in Portland, ME.
This will be a day filled with education, with concurrent sessions covering hot button issues like cybersecurity, incident response, and various regulatory compliance changes to be aware of.
This year, Ryan Rodrigue, Principal and Senior IT Assurance Manager at Wolf & Company will be speaking on the threats associated with cryptocurrencies:
BlockChain & Virtual Currencies: Application in Community Banking, and Threats to Consider
In this presentation, we will review what blockchain technology is, how it relates to virtual currencies, and highlight ways in which it can be used in community banking. Delving a little deeper, we will go into how the threats surrounding blockchain are different than more traditional technologies and the ways that you can keep your institution protected given those threats.
Don't miss Ryan's session bright and early at 8am! The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. For more information, or to register, head over to their event page.
WolfPAC Integrated Risk Management and Ryan will also be on hand throughout the conference at booth #45 in the exhibit hall. Don't hesitate to come by and ask any cybersecurity, IT, or more general enterprise risk management questions you might have!
